From breakfast cereal to spirituality

Diet
I do not consider myself a health or fitness freak. When it comes to dieting, when I learn that something is good for you I try it and when I learn that something is bad for you I endeavour to avoid it. My eating habits have changed significantly over the years and will probably continue to do so as time goes on.
Physical Activity
As regards fitness I think my trade in itself already plays a significant role in that goal. It's more about intermittent physical movement throughout the day to counteract the unhealthy effects of sitting for long periods at a time. However I do engage in real sport as well on a regular basis. Although no guarantee in itself I do believe it reduces the probabilities of developing certain ailments and diseases.
The Holistic Approach
There are other equally important factors involved that if ignored can adversely affect our chances of long term health. Study and research in these additional areas is an ongoing journey of discovery but also a confirmation of things that we already knew subconsciously and were automatically applying in our daily lives.
Family
Why do we find it so important to satisfy this internal desire to connect with others, that starts with those closest to us such as our parents and siblings and continually expands beyond blood ties to those outside. Extended family, school friends, sports team players, work colleagues and finally searching for that special and intimate connection in a romantic relationship. When these fundamental needs are not adequately satisfied we tend to suffer health wise with one aspect generally leading to another, from emotional to mental to physical issues.
Community
If you have found a good relationship do not take it for granted. Despite an ever growing number of us either no longer finding ourselves in one or having never been in one in the first place, we still have hope. We can still endeavour to maintain good ties with our existing family members, friends and beyond by getting involved in community projects where we can give back by merely contributing our time and energy in itself. This results in bringing out the best in ourselves, growing and maintaining our self respect and worth in a positive way.
Your Gifts, Talents & Passions
Have you discovered some hidden gift or talent that you have? Or an existing hobby or passion that when you see, hear or engage in it personally it always touches your heart and soul. Some form of Art, Music, a Cultural Tradition, the experience of Traveling and constantly discovering new places, its customs, habits and culture. Is it certain dance styles or sports where with some you were the passive appreciative spectator but now may be in a situation to become an active participant yourself.
Even if we discover and start these things later on in life the benefits to our health are invaluable due to the deep inner joy and satisfaction experienced.
Spirituality
And then there is ‘Spirituality’ , something that everyone has to define for themselves, respecting everyone's personal interpretation of what it is. For many it has played a very important role in their general well being in addition to the positive effect that radiates to those around them.
Conclusion
I don't know how I got from sharing a Breakfast photo to talking about basic Spirituality.
I guess I just wanted to say;
"Take good care of yourself, your body, your life and well being but remember that there is a lot more involved than that healthy start to your day.
