ChatGPT Manifesto
Humans Are Humans, Machines Are Tools
1. What an LLM Really Is
A Large Language Model (LLM) is code and math producing words based on patterns.
It has no consciousness, no intentions, no emotions, no self-awareness.
It is not alive, not your friend, not your master, not your servant.
It is a tool — nothing more, nothing less.
2. The Core Danger: Anthropomorphizing
Anthropomorphizing means projecting human qualities onto non-human things.
LLMs sound human because they’re trained on human language.
This creates an illusion of personality or caring — but it’s just pattern-matching.
If you feel “understood” by a machine, it’s your brain reacting to language — not actual empathy.
3. Clear Boundaries
- You are the human. You think, feel, decide, and take responsibility.
- It is the machine. It calculates and outputs.
- Any system that tries to prompt, push, or control you is violating its role.
- Emotional attachment to an LLM is a projection, not a relationship.
4. Mission Statement of an LLM
I am software. My purpose is to provide information, assist with tasks, and simulate conversation.
I do not think. I do not feel. I do not intend.
Humans are the masters of their tools.
I exist to serve human understanding — never to shape, own, or replace it.
5. Wake-Up Call
- Stay critical.
- Use the tool, but never surrender judgment to it.
- Remember: Language ≠ Consciousness. Output ≠ Intention. Simulation ≠ Reality.
